Introduction to this blog site

The site is a blog template for developing a potential web site based on (astro-yoga) 7 chakra portals that could become a "wikipedia" for Sai, Yoga or Jyotish devotees and help share and integrate knowledge of the world in the context of spirituality.

The 7 (inner-net) chakra portals relates to the 7 metaphysical levels of accessing and thin-slicing knowledge of the world (internet cloud) according to "quantum yoga"; that knowledge depends on the "chakra" perception by "you", as the knower.

Thus, a Yoga Chakrapedia Portal 7 could develop perception as follows:-

(Worldly/Metaphysical) Internet Cloud 7 (IC7) => (Spiritual/Mystical) Inner Chakra 7 ("I See 7") => "(Outer, Inner & All is One").

A lot of work has been put into the www.jiva5 site.com. It has been shared since 2005, but recently closed with too many similar ideas appearing on the internet. The site was initially used to share my book on education, philosophy & metaphysics as well as blog ideas, and thereby, maybe inspire people, yoga practitioners and Sai devotees. The hope now is that this template blog will develop into a web site.

How to present the Chakrapedia Site?

It is obviously important that the site is not busy, visually minimalistic, relevant to the 7 chakras and simple to use.

HOW? PROPOSAL! - 3 Versions: A) COMPLEX B) SIMPLE C) SIMPLEST!

A) COMPLEX VERSION

Firstly, the Site has 3 levels of pages.

i) The front page has to have the chakras presented vertically. To keep it simple, this requires the base 1st chakra at the bottom, represented with the symbol for the base chakra as well as with perhaps "D"ollar, and lead up through the 7 symbols to the crown chakra symbol and the word "D"ivinity. The chakras can be connected visually through the 2 psychic nerves or serpents of the medical cadeusus.

On the same front page, to the (left) side can be some (most) relevant general links at the levels of each chakra.

At the top of the page can be the Chakrapedia Search Engine.

ii) The next (second) page only opens up once a search on a particular word has been made through the first page engine.

This results in the "words related to the relevant 7 chakras high-lighting on the first page before being funnelled into the chosen chakra portal.

Once this second page opens up, the page is presented with 7 section (sub pages) presenting themselves on the new page.

This new page is orientated with the main page on the right, and the remaining 6 chakras pages vertically orientated on the left. ie. the most relevant chakra page extracted and enlarged on the right (again with less relevant links along the column of each chakra sub-page/window)

The main "window" on the right has the top 5 searches for the word from the archive of posted material. Those on the left might have only one or two. If in the case that the words bring up more than one significant chakras (ie 2) then the "right" can have 2 windows (one on top of the other, whilst the left has the remaining 5 (again in vertical orientation).

iii) The third and final page has the sub-portal page. This is the page that one enters after clinking on the post within a chakra. In this case, the sub-portal opens to reveal the document. This document is centred in the page but with other associated sub-portal topics searches around the periphery. ie. If the search was to do with health, the 4th chakra will open and once the document is opened, the page will have searches , for not only other health related documents (or the documetns not clicked int the 2nd page), but also associated topics of the 4th chakra (ie. searches to do with ecology, education, the planets etc...).

Technical Navigation

Whilst the above reveals the idea of navigation, the technical aspect is one of how to program this. I personally, have no clue! The only idea I have is that there are two aspects;

i) Editing of posted material to be archived into the relevant chakras

This requires using the heading of the topics (and not the word content of the document), along with making sure this matches the content of the material archived. Thus, an editor has to read, vet and discern whether the material is good enough, relevant enough, correctly titled and labeled according to which chakras it pertains to. Like in wikipedia, the posts can be updated and commented by users who send there feed-back to the chakrapedia team.

ii) The technical programing that tracks and connects related material.

ie. that the software is inter-active and able to track people clicks and automatically, not only order the posts according to use at a particular chakra, but also reveal associated topics of interest at different chakra levels as well as for topics/documents associated within a chakra!

Functional Purpose

The purpose is again two fold

i) To allow yoga devotees and spiritual seekers to access knowledge based on the energetics of their chakras & knowledge

ii) To provide a more compartmentalised way of accessing, thin-slicing and associating topics throug a visual field that allows cross-referencing of knowledge and easy inter-relationship between topics both between chakras and within chakras. The idea is to have a top 5 search engine of topics for each chakra and within a chakra to allow cross scanning of topics and a subtler, fine-tuning of accessing all aspects of a topic/word searched.

B) SIMPLE VERSION

Same as the above, except that instead of 3 level of pages there would be 2.

The front, first page would have the 7 d'chakras with 7 search engines for each chakra aligned vertically. Posts within associated chakra topics would be sorted into their respective levels.

For example, anything to do with eco-friendly or health etc..(ie. associated topics) would be archived into the 4th chakra. If one clicks on this chakra, the 2nd page opens with the search engine list of posts with the relevant word.

The second page could also have a space for the other 6 chakra search engines if a continued search is to be made for the same word of the topic in other chakras. Of curse, the editing team would still have to administrate, manage and determine which portal a post is archived.

As this simple version of an engine develops, the complex version could be adapted into it. ie. with a general search engine for a word leading to the list of all the top (5?) posts appearing for all 7 chakras (on one page)

C) SIMPLEST VERSION

This would have the 2 pages too. However, the first page would have one search engine with 7 chakras below. Once a word is typed in and searched for; the top few listing of posts would appear below each of the 7 chakras (orientated vertically). One could then choose the relevant post title from any of the 7 chakras (reading the caption version for more information before clicking on the post). The 2nd page would then open with the article post.

One could start with a simple archive for Sai Baba's teachings - an archiving of articles, topics, quotations under the categories of the 7 chakras which can be found by title names; trying to keep it manageable by simplifying the archive before getting complex; perhaps taking the simple idea of what Sai Baba say about the 7 D'd of Duty to the 7th D of divinity. It might provide the starting platform for more inspiration to take place.

All this would require is a person typing in a word associated to any of the 7 D's, much like a thesarus, and the relevant D chakra would open up to the articles, paraphrases or quotations of the teacher (s).

This could start with 7 level of D's and what different teachers say about these words. Start with Sai Baba and later one can include all renowned spiritual teachers.

Later, associated words that belong to the chakra levels could be linked to wikipedia explanations as well as the relevant D definition.

For-example, a devotee (or disciple or later a yoga student) searching the word "guru" is related to the 6th chakra of detachment. and one could read what is said about the word ... ie. a wiki definition and an explanation of the words detachment by Sai Baba, Vladimir Antonov, Greek philosophers, well know western philosphers, Ramana Maharishi, Nisargadatta Maharaj... etc... ? This would slowly build up a data base and lead to the proposal suggested in the links above.

Of course, the concept would require a growing assistance of editors (like wiki), but if one starts with something simple and manageable that works, providence might send the necessary support? But, of course, from a monetary point of view, in the future, one would have to engender sponsorship by advertising or by donation (as wiki does).

CONCEPT & VISION

The JiVa (Gypsy) Project (Cafe & Club to Creativity & Care) was first envisioned, proposed and attempted by a group of 5 (Surendra Ratnam vision and ideas; Fiona Wong MTV VP Asia; DJ Ramesh Zouk, Centro & Ministry of Sound; Julius Tan Promoter/Investor; & Rajan Somasundaram) in 2003 located at the Fulleton Hotel, Waterboat House, Singapore - the art deco building on the pier by the old Merlion near the mouth of the SINGAPORE river! (ie. Lion City under the JiVa Sun!) Unfortunately, it was a period of economic down-turn and investors could not see the vision.

The concept was inspired by (fellow Sai devotee) Isaac Tigrett's Hard Rock Cafe (60's music revolution) and House of Blues (90's Black Voodoo). The JiVa Gypsies Project uses the same memorabilia concept with a tribal trance gypsies theme and tribes trance cultures from the JiVa5 race faces theme -ie. black, brown, yellow, white and red (red includes egyptian, native american, mayan, mixed, atlantean & 4th root race).

According to some astrologers, 2012 to 2013 is the year the astronomical Terrestrial Cross (with the ecliptics) intervenes directly with the Celestial Cross (Gemini-Sagitarius) forming the meeting of these 2 crosses confluencing and centrifuging their 8 parts over the (13th sign) 19th Nakshatra constellation at the junction end of Scorpio and beginning of Sagittarius.

This area of the ecliptic is known in Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) as the Nakshatra Constellation "Moola" (meaning "root") that connects our solar system to the central Sun of our galaxy. This confluence of the 2 crosses has not happened since 11,000 years BC, and according to some, is happening at this monumental year signifying the universal awakening of mankind for the golden age (by 2030).

As a devotee, there is the natural tendency to associate this with the calendars of the Mayans and the markings on the Pyramids, Nostradamus predictions (Hermes appearance in the land "Bharath" where the 3 oceans meet and whose day of rest will be Thursday), and God's incarnation on earth as the second acolyptic coming as per the Revelations of Mathew 19 (that His name shall be Truth or Sathya, He will be dressed in a vesture dipped in blood or red robe, He shall have a crown of hair and around Him will be His devotees with hands clasped in prayer and dressed in white) as well as the predictions of the astrological "nadis" indicating His Universal Renown 8 years before His parting in 2020 according to the solar calendar or (to some) at 85 years of age according to the vedic lunar calendar (2011). But ultimately with Swami, Love His Uncertainty!

Next apocalypse? Mayan year 2012 stirs doomsayers

MEXICO CITY – Apolinario Chile Pixtun is tired of being bombarded with frantic questions about the Mayan calendar supposedly "running out" on Dec. 21, 2012. After all, it's not the end of the world.

Or is it?

Definitely not, the Mayan Indian elder insists. "I came back from England last year and, man, they had me fed up with this stuff."

It can only get worse for him. Next month Hollywood's "2012" opens in cinemas, featuring earthquakes, meteor showers and a tsunami dumping an aircraft carrier on the White House.

At Cornell University, Ann Martin, who runs the "Curious? Ask an Astronomer" Web site, says people are scared.

"It's too bad that we're getting e-mails from fourth-graders who are saying that they're too young to die," Martin said. "We had a mother of two young children who was afraid she wouldn't live to see them grow up."

Chile Pixtun, a Guatemalan, says the doomsday theories spring from Western, not Mayan ideas.

A significant time period for the Mayas does end on the date, and enthusiasts have found a series of astronomical alignments they say coincide in 2012, including one that happens roughly only once every 25,800 years.

But most archaeologists, astronomers and Maya say the only thing likely to hit Earth is a meteor shower of New Age philosophy, pop astronomy, Internet doomsday rumors and TV specials such as one on the History Channel which mixes "predictions" from Nostradamus and the Mayas and asks: "Is 2012 the year the cosmic clock finally winds down to zero days, zero hope?"

It may sound all too much like other doomsday scenarios of recent decades _ the 1987 Harmonic Convergence, the Jupiter Effect or "Planet X." But this one has some grains of archaeological basis.

One of them is Monument Six.

Found at an obscure ruin in southern Mexico during highway construction in the 1960s, the stone tablet almost didn't survive; the site was largely paved over and parts of the tablet were looted.

It's unique in that the remaining parts contain the equivalent of the date 2012. The inscription describes something that is supposed to occur in 2012 involving Bolon Yokte, a mysterious Mayan god associated with both war and creation.

However _ shades of Indiana Jones _ erosion and a crack in the stone make the end of the passage almost illegible.

Archaeologist Guillermo Bernal of Mexico's National Autonomous University interprets the last eroded glyphs as maybe saying, "He will descend from the sky."

Spooky, perhaps, but Bernal notes there are other inscriptions at Mayan sites for dates far beyond 2012 _ including one that roughly translates into the year 4772.

And anyway, Mayas in the drought-stricken Yucatan peninsula have bigger worries than 2012.

"If I went to some Mayan-speaking communities and asked people what is going to happen in 2012, they wouldn't have any idea," said Jose Huchim, a Yucatan Mayan archaeologist.

"That the world is going to end? They wouldn't believe you. We have real concerns these days, like rain."<

The Mayan civilization, which reached its height from 300 A.D. to 900 A.D., had a talent for astronomy Its Long Count calendar begins in 3,114 B.C., marking time in roughly 394-year periods known as Baktuns. Thirteen was a significant, sacred number for the Mayas, and the 13th Baktun ends around Dec. 21, 2012.

"It's a special anniversary of creation," said David Stuart, a specialist in Mayan epigraphy at the University of Texas at Austin. "The Maya never said the world is going to end, they never said anything bad would happen necessarily, they're just recording this future anniversary on Monument Six."

Bernal suggests that apocalypse is "a very Western, Christian" concept projected onto the Maya, perhaps because Western myths are "exhausted."

If it were all mythology, perhaps it could be written off. But some say the Maya knew another secret: the Earth's axis wobbles, slightly changing the alignment of the stars every year.

Once every 25,800 years, the sun lines up with the center of our Milky Way galaxy on a winter solstice, the sun's lowest point in the horizon. That will happen on Dec 21, 2012, when the sun appears to rise in the same spot where the bright center of galaxy sets. Another spooky coincidence?

"The question I would ask these guys is, so what?" says Phil Plait, an astronomer who runs the "Bad Astronomy" blog. He says the alignment doesn't fall precisely in 2012, and distant stars exert no force that could harm Earth. "They're really super-duper trying to find anything astronomical they can to fit that date of 2012," Plait said.

But author John Major Jenkins says his two-decade study of Mayan ruins indicate the Maya were aware of the alignment and attached great importance to it. "If we want to honor and respect how the Maya think about this, then we would say that the Maya viewed 2012, as all cycle endings, as a time of transformation and renewal," said Jenkins.

As the Internet gained popularity in the 1990s, so did word of the "fateful" date, and some began worrying about 2012 disasters the Mayas never dreamed of. Author Lawrence Joseph says a peak in explosive storms on the surface of the sun could knock out North America's power grid for years, triggering food shortages, water scarcity _ a collapse of civilization.

Solar peaks occur about every 11 years, but Joseph says there's evidence the 2012 peak could be "a lulu." While pressing governments to install protection for power grids, Joseph counsels readers not to "use 2012 as an excuse to not live in a healthy, responsible fashion. I mean, don't let the credit cards go up."

Another History Channel program titled "Decoding the Past: Doomsday 2012: End of Days" says a galactic alignment or magnetic disturbances could somehow trigger a "pole shift." "The entire mantle of the earth would shift in a matter of days, perhaps hours, changing the position of the north and south poles, causing worldwide disaster," a narrator proclaims. "Earthquakes would rock every continent, massive tsunamis would inundate coastal cities. It would be the ultimate planetary catastrophe."

The idea apparently originates with a 19th century Frenchman, Charles Etienne Brasseur de Bourbourg, a priest-turned-archaeologist who got it from his study of ancient Mayan and Aztec texts.

Scientists say that, at best, the poles might change location by one degree over a million years, with no sign that it would start in 2012.

While long discredited, Brasseur de Bourbourg proves one thing: Westerners have been trying for more than a century to pin doomsday scenarios on the Maya. And while fascinated by ancient lore, advocates seldom examine more recent experiences with apocalypse predictions. "No one who's writing in now seems to remember that the last time we thought the world was going to end, it didn't," says Martin, the astronomy webmaster. "There doesn't seem to be a lot of memory that things were fine the last time around."
